Ellis raced the demanding course without team support after a food poisoning incident forced teammate Raven Faith Alcoseba to withdraw prior to the start, leaving her to compete solo.

Her perseverance paid off with yet another medal, marking Ellis’ third podium finish of the Games. The silver adds to her two gold medals from Wednesday’s relay events, further cementing her standout campaign for Team Philippines.
