Etihad Rail adds new stations across the UAE, boosting rail connectivity and sustainable travel ahead of the 2026 passenger service launch.
Etihad Rail has announced the addition of seven new passenger stations as part of its highly anticipated rail service set to launch in 2026, marking a significant step forward in enhancing nationwide rail connectivity and sustainable transport.
The newly confirmed stations will be located in Al Sila, Al Dhannah, Al Mirfa, Madinat Zayed, Mezairaa, Al Faya, and Al Dhaid, and are expected to become operational in phases. These locations will complement previously announced stations in Mohamed bin Zayed City (Abu Dhabi), Jumeirah (Dubai), University City (Sharjah), and the Al Hilal area (Fujairah).
The expansion aims to provide efficient, eco-friendly transportation options, reduce road congestion, and connect key regions across the UAE. Etihad Rail officials have indicated that additional stations may be added in the future as the project develops, reflecting a commitment to comprehensive national rail coverage.
Once operational, the network will offer passengers a seamless travel experience across major emirates, supporting both commuter convenience and sustainable tourism initiatives. With this development, Etihad Rail positions itself as a cornerstone of the UAE’s transport infrastructure and sustainable mobility goals.
