Filipino Teen Band Novela Makes History at Global Village Main Stage

Filipino teen band Novela is set to reach a historic milestone as they prepare to perform on the Main Stage of Global Village, becoming the first Filipino teen band to do so at one of Dubai’s most iconic cultural and entertainment destinations. The much-anticipated performance is scheduled for Monday, January 19, with the band taking the stage at 8:40 PM.

Recognized for their energetic stage presence and modern pop-rock sound, Novela represents a rising wave of Filipino youth talent gaining attention beyond the local music scene. Their Global Village appearance marks a significant step not only for the group, but also for Filipino representation on an internationally celebrated platform.

The band enters this landmark event with strong momentum following a recent appearance as the opening act for the sold-out Elias JTV Band concert in Abu Dhabi. Though only two years into their journey as a teen band in the UAE, Novela has already built an impressive list of achievements. In 2024, they claimed the championship title at the BurJuman Battle of the Bands, highlighting their technical skill and performance maturity. They also emerged as champions at Dubai Rock Revolution: Eraserheads Edition during the Shukran Festival, where their tribute performance received strong audience engagement and widespread praise.
