The Migrant Workers Office in Prague (MWO-Prague), in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw, successfully conducted the “Work Smart, Work Legal V2.0 – Para sa mga OFWs sa Poland” webinar via Zoom.

The program opened with a welcome message and was moderated by Alexandra Lipio. Minister and Consul General Conrado B. Demdem Jr. delivered an insightful address, highlighting the Embassy’s commitment to safeguarding and empowering Filipino workers in Poland.

Presenters, including Head and Labor Attaché Llewelyn Perez, Atty. Marlena Kaczmarek, and vlogger Poland with Jessi, provided practical guidance on key topics such as:

  • Third-country hiring and accreditation

  • Proper resignation letters and NLI (Labour Inspectorate) requirements

  • Legalization procedures and verifying the legitimacy of contracts, TRC, and work permits

  • What newly arrived OFWs can expect upon entering Poland

  • Common labor issues faced by Filipino workers

  • Avoiding recruitment and employment scams

The session concluded with an active Open Forum, where participants raised questions regarding work documentation, employment rights, and common challenges faced by OFWs in Poland.

This initiative is part of MWO-Prague’s ongoing efforts to enhance labor awareness, provide legal assistance, and strengthen protection mechanisms for Filipino workers across the country.
