MWO-Prague and the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw successfully held “Work Smart, Work Legal V2.0” webinar, guiding OFWs on legal work practices in Poland.
“Work Smart, Work Legal V2.0” for OFWs in Poland Successfully Concluded
The Migrant Workers Office in Prague (MWO-Prague), in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw, successfully conducted the “Work Smart, Work Legal V2.0 – Para sa mga OFWs sa Poland” webinar via Zoom.
The program opened with a welcome message and was moderated by Alexandra Lipio. Minister and Consul General Conrado B. Demdem Jr. delivered an insightful address, highlighting the Embassy’s commitment to safeguarding and empowering Filipino workers in Poland.
Presenters, including Head and Labor Attaché Llewelyn Perez, Atty. Marlena Kaczmarek, and vlogger Poland with Jessi, provided practical guidance on key topics such as:
Third-country hiring and accreditation
Proper resignation letters and NLI (Labour Inspectorate) requirements
Legalization procedures and verifying the legitimacy of contracts, TRC, and work permits
What newly arrived OFWs can expect upon entering Poland
Common labor issues faced by Filipino workers
Avoiding recruitment and employment scams
The session concluded with an active Open Forum, where participants raised questions regarding work documentation, employment rights, and common challenges faced by OFWs in Poland.
This initiative is part of MWO-Prague’s ongoing efforts to enhance labor awareness, provide legal assistance, and strengthen protection mechanisms for Filipino workers across the country.
