Authorities seize 17 luxury cars owned by former congressman Zaldy Co in Taguig for customs, tax, and import documentation violations.

Authorities have seized several luxury vehicles linked to former congressman Zaldy Co at a condominium in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig on Thursday night.

According to Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) Special Adviser Rodolfo Azurin Jr., the vehicles were confiscated due to issues with documentation, taxes, customs, and import compliance.

During the operation, authorities inspected 17 vehicles, finding that nine of them had customs violations. The seizure is part of a broader investigation into Zaldy Co’s assets and compliance with Philippine tax and importation laws.

Officials emphasized that the enforcement action is aimed at upholding financial accountability and cracking down on violations involving high-value assets, including luxury vehicles owned by prominent public figures.

The case highlights ongoing efforts by Philippine authorities to ensure transparency, enforce tax compliance, and investigate potential irregularities in the ownership and importation of luxury assets.
