UP Open University 2026: 28 Free Online Courses for Filipinos

UPOU offers 28 free MOOCs from Jan to Jun 2026, including certificates in special needs care, BPO skills, climate services, and more.

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) has announced 28 free massive open online courses (MOOCs) available to Filipinos from January to June 2026, giving learners the chance to gain new skills and enhance their resumes.

Among the offerings are four new courses:

  • Practical Home Behavior Management for Children with Special Needs

  • Data Annotation for Aspiring BPO Professionals

  • Climate Information Services

  • Internalizing Behaviors among Children and Practical Home Support

All courses are fully online and free of charge. Participants who complete a course will receive a 16-hour e-certificate that can be added to their professional portfolios or resumes.

How to enroll:

  1. Visit http://model.upou.edu.ph/

  2. Click “Log In” to create an account

  3. Complete the registration form, ensuring your email has sufficient storage

  4. Check your inbox for a confirmation link (verification may take up to three business days)

  5. Confirm the account and log in

  6. Browse the homepage and select the course to enroll

Enrollment opens two weeks before the start of each course and remains open while the course is ongoing.
