SIBOL reaffirmed the Philippines’ dominance in Southeast Asian esports after a commanding 4–0 sweep over Malaysia, clinching the Mobile Legends gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games.
The victory marked the Philippines’ fourth consecutive gold medal in the discipline, preserving a perfect record since Mobile Legends was first introduced to the regional competition. SIBOL remained undefeated throughout the tournament, further solidifying the country’s status as the region’s leading esports powerhouse.
The historic triumph was witnessed by Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino and SBP official Ricky Vargas, underscoring the national importance of the achievement. Their presence highlighted continued institutional support for the growth of esports in the country.
The latest gold medal also reflects the strong collaboration among the POC, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), and key corporate partners—particularly Smart Communications, Inc. and SMART Sports—whose sustained backing has played a crucial role in maintaining the Philippines’ competitive edge in international esports.
With another championship secured, SIBOL’s latest victory stands as both a milestone and a testament to the country’s rising global stature in competitive gaming.
