The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), in coordination with eight other government agencies, launched the Bagong Bayani ng Mundo OFW Serbisyo Caravan on December 5, 2025, at the Sadeem Celebration Hall in Abha, Saudi Arabia, offering a wide range of services to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the region.

In his message, Migrant Workers Undersecretary Bernard P. Olalia emphasized the caravan’s mission to make government services more accessible and efficient for OFWs. “We brought the government here to Abha to show that despite your sacrifices and hardships abroad, you are never alone. This is the direct instruction of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.—to elevate our recognition and respect for your heroism,” Usec. Olalia said.

Consul General Romel Romato encouraged continued cooperation to ensure efficient and orderly service delivery. “Let us work together to further improve and bring government services closer to our fellow Filipinos here in Saudi Arabia,” he stated. He also thanked volunteers from the Filipino community in Abha who helped maintain smooth operations during the caravan’s first day.

The Bagong Bayani ng Mundo OFW Serbisyo Caravan will continue in Abha on December 6, 2025, and will move to Jeddah on December 8–9, 2025, ensuring that more OFWs in the Kingdom can access vital government services.
