Sandiganbayan Orders Arrest of Bong Revilla in P92.8M Malversation Case

19 January 2026

Former senator Bong Revilla faces arrest over a non-bailable malversation case linked to a “ghost” flood control project in Bulacan.

The Sandiganbayan Third Division has ordered the arrest of former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. after issuing a warrant of arrest and a hold departure order (HDO) for him and six former officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Bulacan.

The charges involve a non-bailable malversation case connected to a P92.8-million flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan, which authorities claim was a “ghost project”—funded but never implemented—resulting in the alleged misuse of public funds.

This move represents a major development in the ongoing investigation of the alleged flood control scam and highlights the government’s commitment to holding accountable those involved in the misuse of state resources.
