Embassy Call to Overseas Filipinos

The Philippine Embassy in the UAE has issued an official call to all Filipino citizens residing in the country: if you wish to vote in the upcoming May 2028 national elections, make sure to register now under the overseas absentee voting program. The Embassy stresses that early registration ensures your participation and helps avoid last‑minute complications.

Under the regulations of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Filipinos living abroad — including those in the UAE — must register as overseas voters to cast ballots.

How to Register

Filipinos abroad can register by filling out the overseas voter registration form available on the COMELEC website. The form and registration instructions are provided through the official COMELEC portal:

Applicants are required to submit the completed form and required documents as specified, and meet all eligibility criteria — including having a valid Philippine passport, valid address abroad, and other relevant requirements.

The Embassy encourages registering well before the voting period to ensure a smooth process.
