Filipino vocal powerhouse Marcelito Pomoy received a standing ovation after delivering an emotionally charged performance at the prestigious Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. The appearance marked another milestone in Pomoy’s growing international career, even though former U.S. President Donald Trump was unable to attend the event due to prior commitments.

Pomoy shared moments from the performance on social media, highlighting his rendition of Andrea Bocelli’s iconic song “Time to Say Goodbye,” which drew enthusiastic applause from guests at the venue. He expressed gratitude for the warm reception, noting that performing the song remains a personal dream and honor due to its global recognition as a powerful musical finale.

Although Trump was absent because of a full schedule of international meetings, Pomoy emphasized his appreciation for being part of a distinguished evening that reflected values of leadership, unity, and dedication. He described the experience as meaningful and inspiring, regardless of last-minute changes.

Pomoy rose to national fame in 2011 after winning “Pilipinas Got Talent” Season 2, astonishing audiences with his rare ability to sing seamlessly in both baritone and soprano ranges. His talent later gained international attention when he placed fourth in “America’s Got Talent: The Champions 2” in 2020.

The Mar-a-Lago performance further reinforces Pomoy’s reputation as one of the Philippines’ most exceptional and globally admired vocalists, proudly representing Filipino talent on the world stage.
