President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led the launch of a permanent home for Likhang Filipino, a dedicated space celebrating Filipino crafts and textiles. The unveiling marks a significant step in preserving and promoting the nation’s cultural heritage.
The venue serves as a unified hub where artisans can showcase and sell their creations year-round. Artisans benefit from no rent and only a small commission on items sold, along with accommodation support when visiting Manila. This setup allows them to focus on their craft, expand production, and reach broader markets.
According to the First Lady, “This is Likhang Filipino—rooted in our culture, shaped by our people, and proudly shared with the world.” She also encouraged the public to visit and experience the beauty of Filipino creativity and craftsmanship.
