The First Family has expressed openness to undergoing a lifestyle check, following a recent report by the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ) that raised questions about the use of allocable funds within the Office of the President.

According to Malacañang, the administration welcomes any lawful review that promotes accountability and transparency. Officials clarified that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his family have nothing to hide and are ready to undergo any assessment carried out by proper authorities.

The PCIJ report examined how discretionary and special funds are utilized under the executive branch. While the report did not directly accuse the First Family of wrongdoing, it recommended deeper scrutiny into how public resources are allocated and monitored.

In response, government officials emphasized that the President supports legitimate inquiries that aim to strengthen governance practices. They also reminded the public that any lifestyle check must follow established legal procedures, ensuring fairness and respect for privacy.

The Office of the President reiterated that it remains committed to responsible stewardship of public funds and is prepared to cooperate with oversight institutions as needed.
