Dubai Gears Up for Record-Breaking New Year’s Eve Celebrations

Dubai is set to welcome 2026 with 48 fireworks displays across 40 locations, backed by the largest New Year’s Eve security operation in the emirate’s history.

Dubai is set to ring in 2026 with its most expansive New Year’s Eve celebrations to date, as authorities confirm 48 fireworks displays across 40 locations throughout the emirate.

Officials announced that this year’s festivities will be supported by the largest New Year’s Eve security operation in Dubai’s history, with more than 23,000 personnel deployed through coordinated efforts involving 55 government and private sector entities to ensure public safety and smooth crowd management.

The comprehensive operation will be led by 9,884 Dubai Police officers, supported by 13,502 private security personnel. Security measures will also include 1,625 patrol units, 36 bicycle patrols, 34 mounted patrols, and 53 marine rescue boats to secure coastal and waterfront areas.

Fireworks displays will illuminate many of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks and destinations, spanning urban centres, beachfronts, desert resorts, and mountain areas such as Hatta. Key locations include Downtown Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Creek Harbour, Global Village, and several luxury resorts and golf clubs across the emirate.
