DILG Offers ₱10M Reward as Atong Ang Named PH Most Wanted

The DILG launches a nationwide manhunt for Atong Ang, offering a ₱10-million reward for information leading to his arrest.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has announced a ₱10-million cash reward for credible information that will lead to the arrest of Charlie “Atong” Ang, the remaining fugitive linked to the widely publicized missing sabungeros case.
DILG Secretary Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla officially identified Ang as the number one most wanted individual in the Philippines, underscoring the seriousness of the accusations and the government’s resolve to ensure accountability. Authorities believe public cooperation will be crucial in locating and apprehending the suspect.
Ang, a well-known figure in the business and gaming sectors, is facing multiple non-bailable charges, including kidnapping, serious illegal detention, and homicide, in connection with the disappearance of dozens of cockfighting enthusiasts. Law enforcement confirmed that all 17 of his co-accused are already in custody, leaving Ang as the lone suspect still at large.
Described by authorities as armed and dangerous, Ang is being actively pursued through a nationwide manhunt. Security measures have been heightened to protect officers involved in the operation, while officials continue to urge the suspect to surrender peacefully and face the charges filed against him.
In coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP), monitoring has been intensified at airports, seaports, and other key transit points to prevent any possible escape attempt. Authorities are also coordinating with international law enforcement bodies to facilitate his arrest should he attempt to flee outside Philippine jurisdiction.
Secretary Remulla emphasized that the manhunt will continue until Ang is apprehended, stressing that the government remains committed to delivering justice in one of the most significant criminal cases in recent years.
