Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has once again taken a firm stand against corruption, addressing thousands of protesters during the November 30, 2025 anti-corruption rally organized by the Trillion Peso March (TPM) movement at the People Power Monument in EDSA, Metro Manila.

In her speech, Gray warned that corruption is not an abstract issue but a direct threat to the future of Filipino children. She stressed that every peso lost to corruption translates to fewer classrooms, weaker hospitals, inadequate infrastructure, and unsafe communities.

She said:

“Corruption steals food from our tables, steals medicines from our hospitals, classrooms from our children, and safety from our communities,” she said, referencing the ongoing scandal involving flood-control funds.

Calls for Accountability and Reform

Gray criticized what she described as a system “built to benefit the corrupt few”, adding that silence enables those in power to continue misusing public funds. She also called on the Office of the Ombudsman to file cases against implicated officials, urged the Senate to suspend lawmakers reportedly involved in the controversy, and encouraged Congress to act on long-debated reforms such as the Anti-Political Dynasty Bill.

Highlighting the Human Cost

Her participation in the protest emphasized the urgency of these issues and highlighted the human cost of corruption, particularly for vulnerable children and low-income families. Gray noted that corruption does not only hinder development but actively robs young Filipinos of opportunities and essential services.

In her closing remarks, Gray vowed to continue speaking out until justice is achieved, telling the crowd that this generation will not move on until accountability is served. Her message has resonated widely, drawing support from citizens who view her as using her platform responsibly and fearlessly.

Authorities have yet to issue formal responses to the specific demands raised during the rally, but public pressure continues to mount as investigations into the alleged misappropriation of public funds move forward.
