07 December, 2025
Alice Guo undergoes mandatory medical exams before her transfer to the Correctional Institution for Women to begin serving her life sentence.
Alice Guo has completed the mandatory medical examination as part of the requirements for her transfer to the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW), where she will begin serving her life sentence.
Guo was earlier convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment, ordered to pay multi-million-peso fines, and had her POGO-linked property forfeited in favor of the government.
The Pasig RTC Branch 167 previously denied Guo’s request to stay at the Pasig City Jail, affirming that she must be moved to the CIW — the official facility designated for high-risk female inmates.
Upon arrival at the CIW, Guo will undergo quarantine and further assessment at the Reception and Diagnostic Center (RDC). The process includes:
Additional medical examinations
Security evaluation
Inmate classification procedures
Before she is eventually assigned to a permanent dormitory.
Officials from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) stated that they intend to expedite her transfer as soon as all requirements are cleared.
According to the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), Guo will stay at the RDC for 60 days for evaluation and classification to determine the appropriate rehabilitation and treatment program. After completing the process, she will be moved to the Maximum Security Compound.
